Gordon Stennett
Starting as a hobby in 1975, Gordon Stennett has carved more than 4000 bird
sculptures that are now in collections around the world. He’s even
had a duck sculpture on display at the Smithsonian for over six months.
This is no surprise to anyone who has marveled at the extremely fine and
complex sculptures that he makes combining multiple hard woods. No two
pieces look alike, but every single sculpture is a beautiful rendering
of a bird such as a duck, quail, chickadee, or multiple shorebirds. They
are harmoniously combined with driftwood. Christopher Bell Gallery continues
to be graced by this symphony in wood.
